The most difficult thing for me in this project was coming up with an idea for using Madmapper. I was able to brainstorm during class with a fellow classmate and landed on making a brain to project onto. Making the brain took some thought since I was going back to Arizona during the break so it had to fit in my suitcase to take home. I taped some pieces of paper together to make a surface to hot glue paper and napkins onto to create a 3D effect of the brain coming out of the paper. The 4 videos for the lobes came out great. It looked really cool when you projected onto the brain. For my interactive part of the project, I learned how to use scenes and cues in Madmapper. Some of the videos were too long I think I should have sped them up a bit and added music to create a more immersive experience for the audience. If I had more time I would have used a canvas to hot glue the brain onto instead of paper. One thing I would change is making it more 3D to give it more definition. I also would make the different parts of the brain light up more randomly rather than a loop of the 4 different lobes lighting up in the scenes in Madmapper. I bought Madmapper so I didn’t have much difficulty setting up at the show. Overall was happy with what I made and if I did the project again I would change it with what I suggested earlier.
