I had never worked in Adobe Audition before or really with music or sounds in general so this project was very new to me. Learning how to slice and add sound effects definitely helped with making my final product. I spent a bit of time messing around with the effects on the sounds. So I kinda went a different route than what I originally planned; I was going to go for soothing comfort feeling but I decided I wanted to create a Sci-Fi type feeling/vibe. So I started with the fan to be my background noise but I added an effect to make it sound smoother. I then added in all the sounds and sliced them up. I grouped the sounds together based on how I felt they went together or where I had space with all the overlapping sounds. I organized the sounds with a lot of starting and stopping as I listened and figured where to place them. I then went back through and added effects to the different sounds. For the light switches I went with this sci-fi sound effect and edited it till I liked what it sounded like. For the book sound I chose an echoey effect which made it sound like the sci-fi vibe. Then for the box I chose the underwater effect and it also turned out nice. I lowered and raised the volume for certain sounds throughout the file. Overall I learned how to use a new software and was pleased with how it turned out.
