I learned a lot about glitching art from this project. We learned so many different techniques for glitching images and videos. A lot of them stood out to me but I only used 3 of the techniques for the project. I mostly used Photoshop maybe because I am more comfortable with the software. For glitching in Photoshop there are so many options but I was mostly drawn to the filters and specifically the stylize and pixlate sections. I would either use the filter once or multiple times depending on how much of the image I wanted to be glitched. I also would use a couple of filters together for example the oil paint with wind makes a very nice effect on the image without completely distorting it. I did that to a couple of the same images and different ones with many of the filters. I made 8 pieces using that method and I wanted to still be able to see the images so I was very controlled with the distorting them. I then made a glitch GIF in Photoshop after glitching more images how I liked them using the filters. I then made the actual GIF by using the timeline in Photoshop which we learned in Digital Art 1 but it was nice to have a refresher. Then the last piece was the infinite zoom. This was really fun to learn since I have seen so many videos on Instagram of the video completely zooming in or out and looped. It was a lot of new techniques in Photoshop and I learned more about the generative fill and editing images to add to the zoom. Then I got to learn more about Premier Pro and how to add images and go through the process of making the zoom clean. Overall a very fun project and learned a lot of new techniques for making art.
