I have learned a lot of 3D modeling software but Blender is special. Not only can you do so much in the program it leaves so much open for opportunities to explore the program and learn so much. I thought I knew a lot about Blender when I learned it last semester but I was wrong there is always something new to learn especially in a program such as this one. I would say this project went smoothly other than the fact of not being able to open my files since they had too much data after saving I ran into this issue on more than one occasion. But luckily I had saved at many different points which allowed me to work from my older saved pieces. I really enjoyed learning a new skill in Blender which was sculpting. It definitely had a learning curve at first and struggled with learning about all the sculpting tools. But was able to get a better grasp and understanding after redoing it a couple times. I learned how to paint in sculpt mode and attach it to my character in shading so I was able to color the penguin. I mostly struggled with the animation part of this project. It was hard to try and get the penguin's movements to feel like a robot. I worked on it for several hours and tried my best to accomplish the penguin sliding and I think it went okay for my first animation of an animal and for my next project to hopefully watch some animation videos to learn more about it. Overall I was happy with what I was able to accomplish with this project.
