I definitely learned a lot more about Photoshop and Illustrator while completing this project. I spent a lot more time in Illustrator since it required more detailed work than photoshop. In Photoshop I mostly experimented with changing the colors of certain clothes and hair color for the character. I mostly stuck to cutting out what I wanted for the character such as clothes, hair, bag, skis and of course Newt the dog. In Illustrator I spent a lot of time working on the hair of the character and her dog Newt. The dog took a couple hours changing the color of the hair, the patterns and the way it was layered. The clothing in Illustrator was also another struggle to create the 3D aspect of folds and depth. I also spent a lot of time on the backgrounds trying to put enough in it that it didn't feel like empty space. The backgrounds in Illustrator were more difficult to do since I had to think of ways to create texture that would be similar to what you find in nature, for example the leaves of trees, grass and mountains. I feel like my 12 works conveyed my character and the class was able to see it in my work. I definitely next time would have quicker solutions for backgrounds and other textures. I honestly would have loved to have focused on only a couple of pieces rather than a lot of pieces. I felt like I could have focused and had a greater amount of detail done in the Illustrator images.
