For Project 2, I want to make a seaturtle. It has been one of my favorite animals since I was little. I always admired how elegant they looked while swimming and wished to create my own version of the animal in 3D space and have it come to life. My goal is to use videos as a tool this time instead of heavily relying on following a tutorial. Again, my goal for this project is to create a seaturtle, how I want it to look, and to animate it swimming in an ocean. I found a couple of tutorials, but they are all pretty old. I followed one tutorial for help in making the body and was able to get a base that I liked for the seaturtle. I hope to get better at shading and using the nodes and learning more about them since there is so much potential. I also want to get better at animating since I really struggled with the penguin animation and getting it to be smooth in project 1. I feel like animating a seaturtle will be easier since it's swimming and would feel more fluid compared to a penguin waddling and then sliding. I hope that I can add some more camera angles since that can help tell a story, which is what animation is about. I also hope to have good lighting for the animation to show off my creation. I am looking forward to completing this project and pushing myself to learn more about the Blender program.
